• Frequently Asked Questions

    • Will martial arts make children violent?

No way! Martial arts is about peace, harmony and diplomacy. It teaches children how to AVOID fights - not pick them.

    • Will my child wind up injured from a martial arts?

It's possible in the higher levels. But the truth is, injuries are very, very rare here. We have a lot of measures in place to keep your child perfectly safe. In fact, safety is our #1 concern.

    • Can my child still do martial arts if he/she is not the athletic type?

Yes! In fact, martial arts is often a “home” for kids who don't excel at team sports. Kids who have trouble in baseball, basketball, etc. often come to martial arts and do extremely well. And it's okay if your child is not athletic right now. Through our classes, they'll get in great shape and become very athletic.

    • Do kids enjoy martial arts? Do they stick with it for a while?”

Kids have a blast here. There's smiling and laughter throughout every class. We have our moments of intense concentration and focus... but we always balance things out with fun and games to keep everything alive and light.

    • Will martial arts, improve my child's confidence?

Yes! Martial arts is a powerful source of confidence for kids. They practice hard and learn techniques in order to advance through the ranks. And as they advance, they fill with pride. After all, they're the ones doing all the work - so they feel all of the accomplishment whenever they learn a new move... achieve a new belt... or get praise from their fellow students and instructors.

    • What ages are the other kids in the martial arts class?

We have classes for kids as young as 4, and as old as teenagers. Martial arts is the kind of thing that grows with you. So as kids get older, they learn new techniques, perfect old ones, and advance. When they're younger, it's more about fun and games, with learning thrown in too.

    • Is martial arts for boys AND girls? Or just boys?

Martial arts are for boys and girls. Our classes have a good mix of both, too. So if you're worried about your girl being alone in a group of boys, wipe that worry from your mind!
